Conferences

In this page you can find information about conferences, workshops, etc. (announcements about future conferences and, in some cases, scientific reports highlighting the main issues discussed in recently held conferences) organized or sponsored in some degree by the EPS through the Quantum Electronics and Optics Division (QEOD).

EPS-QEOD Europhoton meetings

The QEOD board has established a new mode to sponsor appropriate scientific meetings under the newly created label of "EPS-QEOD Europhoton Conference on ...". EPS-QEOD will publicise these events and can provide some limited financial support. EPS-QEOD Europhoton meetings may only be held in the years in which there is no CLEO Europe/EQEC conference and peer review of contributed papers is mandatory. The conference fee should be set as low as possible such that the conference is not designed to make a profit. Proposals for such meetings will be considered by the QEOD Board with respect to their scientific remit, quality, organisation and financial plans. The meeting organisers will be encouraged to work with EPS conference services where appropriate. Proposals for new Europhoton meetings should initially be sent to Patricia Helfenstein at the EPS (patricia.helfenstein@uha.fr)
